Mission MyCare Plus – Leicester was the first free-standing building to be constructed for Mission Medical Associates. This primary care facility consists of 15 exam rooms, a Lab, Treatment as well as an X-ray. The design is simple and logical in order to maximize efficiency as well as ease of orientation for the patients. Natural light is introduced into every space as well as the central workstations via clearestory lighting in order to create a bright and welcoming space as well as taking advantage of views. The exterior of the building reflects the local vernacular architecture of Western North Carolina in order to create a timeless structure, as well as incorporating materials and details seen in other Mission off-site buildings. This building was designed and constructed within nine months from start to finish and was within the allotted budget.
